Senior Operational Risk Manager

The position involves assisting in meeting CPS230 requirements within the Customer & Corporate Services division, promoting consistent implementation and integrating key objectives.The role requires fostering a robust risk culture that reflects our values and principles, while balancing business and customer requirements.This position entails collaborating with key stakeholders as a subject matter expert to manage, advise, and ensure compliance with all risk and control requirements, as well as implementing solutions to address risk and control challenges.Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely delivery of CPS230 packages across all divisions.
• Meet the definition of done promptly according to the program schedule.
• Attend project delivery meetings to define divisional requirements.
• Act as the central coordinator for the Central project team to meet divisional expectations
• Provide strategic and technical risk advice across various stages:

Business case development
Solution design
Build
Testing
Implementation

• Offer risk advice for operating procedures, templates, and checklists developed in the operating model design.
• Coordinate change and communication requirements for stakeholders and SMEs to ensure delivery.
• Lead risk activities including:
• Risk assessment for the new operating model design
• Optimized control design
• Management of testing outcome impacts and implementation issues
• Develop strong stakeholder relationships to:
• Manage delivery risks
• Oversee key risk milestones
• Ensure compliance with transformation standards
• Escalate significant concerns to the program for visibility
• Escalate and present risk information at Program governance forums.
• Support the identification and escalation of risk in change thematic insights across the portfolio.
• Continuously improve risk in change practices and quality outcomes.
• Coach and support the Program and broader business to enhance risk awareness and capability relevant to CPS230.

Experience:

• 5-10 years in developing, embedding, and implementing controls and risk management activities.
• Experience in risk related to CPS230 Operational Risk Management and procurement.
• Ideally, over 5 years' experience in banking or financial services.
• Education: Tertiary qualifications required.
