Investigations Manager - Group Risk

We will do this by embedding our values to lead the organisation with a focus on safer gambling and good business practices.Our properties across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sydney are world-class with many award-winning hotels, restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.As our Investigations Manager reporting to the General Manager Investigations, you will lead and conduct thorough investigations, ensuring integrity, confidentiality, and fairness in all inquiries.This is a fantastic opportunity as you'll lead a team of professional investigators, manage databases, analyse suspicious behavior, and liaise with law enforcement agencies. Additionally, you'll maintain operational integrity and build strong relationships with regulatory bodies.A few of your responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the Investigations Department and conduct background and internal investigations of employee suppliers, contractors and patrons and as directed, also conducting specific executive, legal and audit investigations.
• Pro-actively liaise with the investigation units of other Hotels/Casinos for intelligence purposes and to keep abreast of any developments within the gaming industry.
• Oversee the development of a database to record all investigations (internal and external) to produce investigations reports used in association with monthly and quarterly reporting and external regulator reports.
• Formulate training requirements for Investigations, Audit, Surveillance and Security staff and where necessary, be involved in the practical training programme for the casino.
• Manage and co-ordinate The Star's databases recording all information relating to suspicious behaviour and compiling statistical information and analysis of issues for management review.

What we are looking for:

• Qualified Investigator with experience in either criminal investigations, workplace investigations or regulatory investigations.
• Demonstrated extensive experience within a law enforcement agency.
• Exposure to a casino and/or gaming environment is desirable.
• Understanding of relevant statutory and reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability in leadership, mentoring and team training.
