Quality & Safety Business Partner

Chandler Macleod is currently searching for an experienced Safety & Quality Business Partner for our client based in Victoria’s Goulburn Valley. Our client is a business that is continuing to go from strength to strength, investing heavily in new technology and machinery, this business continues to remain at the forefront of their sector.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their strong experience in Occupational Health and Safety, along with proven working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 standards & practices.

Reporting through to the General Manager of People & Culture, you will lead and manage the entire Safety & Quality function of the business ensuring a Safe, Healthy & Respectful workplace culture is evident across the business.  

Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

• Ensuring Health & Safety are maintained as a primary focus across the areas of people and quality.
• Develop and execute safety management processes, procedures, and initiatives for all sites within the business to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and sub-contractors.
• Lead the Quality function in accordance with operations manuals and regulatory requirements, including regular safety and quality reporting. 
• Lead and drive the processes for recording, investigating, resolving incidents, and the storage of relevant safety documents.
• Identify areas of non-compliance and safety concerns and work with stakeholders to propose solutions using outputs such as recommendations, reports, draft guidance, policies, procedures for internal or external use.

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• Relevant education and experience in Occupational Health and Safety, preferably a minimum education level of Certificate IV Occupational Health & Safety and on-the-job experience.
• A thorough understanding of Quality Management Systems.
• Highly developed leadership skills and the ability to positively influence relevant stakeholders across the business.
• Thorough understanding of OH&S and RTW legislation, obligations, and responsibilities.
• Quality Management Internal Audit certification and experience (preferred)
