About the Position
Council’s Waste Management Team, within the Fleet, Civil and Waste Section, is responsible for the effective delivery of waste collection services to ensure the achievement of section outcomes and service delivery to the community. The position is responsible for undertaking a broad range of waste services activities including but not limited to kerbside collection, mobile garbage bin repair and replacements and Waste Management support for local events. Due to the nature of the position the incumbent may be required to work outside of the normal span of hours.
About You
We are seeking a multi-skilled person with appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to fulfil the essential criteria of a RACV Operator – Waste Management.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Minimum 2yrs experience driving heavy vehicles (HR licence)
- RACV Operations and collection round processes
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and continuous improvement
- Experience with route planning to ensure the most efficient delivery/collection route is achieved.
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and the maintenance of a supportive work environment
