We are seeking organised and motivated Radiation Therapists. The successful candidate must be competent to perform tasks as an accredited practitioner in simulation, planning, treatment, quality assurance & quality control in Radiation Therapy procedures.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified to practise Radiation Therapy, current registration as a Radiation Therapist with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds (or eligible to hold) a radiation license with the NSW Environment Protection Authority to use ionizing radiation apparatus for radiation therapy purposes. Graduates are to demonstrate they will be eligible for the above requirements
- Demonstrate a commitment to the provision of exceptional patient care and the delivery of high-quality radiation therapy services, with an understanding of Quality Assurance and radiation safety principles and practices
- Technical competence in all areas of Radiation Therapy (Simulation Planning and Treatment)
- Ability to work collaboratively in small teams, self-motivated with initiative and able to cope with dynamic and changing work practices including flexibility in work hours
- Evidence of vaccinations to comply with NSW Health in a Category A position
- Knowledge of current trends and developments in radiation therapy techniques and technology (desirable)
