Radiation Therapist - Rotation Planners

Rotational planners are focused on simple to moderate complexity planning work.The work includes completing plans that have been through automation however require adjustment to fulfil the prescription and ensure a high-quality plan for the patient. Rotational Radiation Therapists are credentialled in planning and are expected to deliver plans of consistent high quality.If you are not currently credentialled in plan checking, you will be trained in checking during your planning rotation. Rotational planners will have the opportunity to cover leave for the NSW Centralised Planning team. These team members will also be rostered to treatment.On offer is a full-time position, working 38hours/week.More specifically, you will:

• Personally undertake radiation therapy planning and treatment responsibilities and associated duties.
• Promote and contribute to an effective multidisciplinary team at the relevant Centre and across the practice.
• Responsible for the correct administration of all radiation therapy processes and procedures.
• Ensures that all administration and documentation requirements are initiated and completed in a professional and timely manner.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Demonstrated planning skills and proficiency in Eclipse Treatment Planning System.
• Demonstrated ability to critique plan quality against prescription and OAR objectives and provide solutions for plan improvement.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships across job families and across state borders.
• Demonstrated excellent teamwork skills which includes the ability to work collaboratively across NSW and to support planning outside of NSW.
• Demonstrated technical competence in all areas of radiotherapy (treatment and planning), including comprehensive knowledge of contemporary radiotherapy modalities and techniques.
• Ability to demonstrate the ability to work in an effective team environment.
• Strong empathy, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of radiotherapy and associated allied healthcare services Qualifications and Experience.
• Bachelor degree as relevant (Radiation Therapy)
• Registration as a Radiation Therapist with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
