We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified Radiation Therapists to join our team until end of 2024. This is a level 2 position but includes new graduates (previously level 1) registered as Radiation Therapists with AHPRA. What you'll be doing
The Radiation Therapist will play a proactive role in the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimum patient processing of technical delivery and patient care. Operate equipment and behave at all times according to Health & Safety procedures and according to the professional Code of Conduct of Northern Sydney Health, and ensure all work is carried out within the Radiation Codes of Conduct of Royal North Shore Hospital. Play a key role at all times in delivering the service to the highest professional and technical standards and to facilitate optimum patient throughput and efficiency.
Undertake a full range of duties expected of the Radiation Therapist for the purpose of planning and delivering accurate and precise radiation therapy to patients, as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologists.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Graduate of a course in Medical Radiation Science - Radiation Therapy, accredited by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) and eligible for licensure by the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) NSW and eligible for registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrate sound knowledge and experience in all aspects of radiation therapy multimodality image based treatment planning and treatment delivery that may include TBI, SRS, Exactrac, 4DCT and 4DCBCT, IMRT and VMAT, MLC tracking.
Demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation therapy quality assurance and quality controls in radiation therapy.
Demonstrated proven ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrate interest in continuing professional education, research and quality improvement activities.
Demonstrated ability to participate and contribute to the collection and review of evidence to support evidence based practice.
