The Role
Epworth Medical Imaging (EMI) is seeking a Radiology Receptionist to join our team on a full time basis at our Epworth Hospital Richmond location. The role works on a rotating roster within the core hours of 6:30am – 8:00pm Monday – Friday.
The primary function of a Radiology Receptionist is to provide excellent and professional customer service to patients and referrers. EMI Richmond is a dynamic environment with opportunity to expand your skills and work in an array of zones within the department. The reception team contributes to the overall performance of the department, ensuring consistency with Sonic Healthcare core values.
Key selection criteria
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills using phone, email, and face-to-face communication.
- Willingness to take initiative and problem-solve.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a medical / hospital setting.
- Certification in medical terminology / medical administration.
- Previous radiology experience.
- Experience working with a high volume of incoming calls.
Epworth Medical Imaging
Epworth Medical Imaging (EMI) is part of the Sonic Healthcare network, providing high quality imaging services to both Epworth Hospital locations and the wider community.
EMI employ approximately 250 highly skilled radiologists and staff, providing angiography, interventional procedures, bone mineral densitometry (BMD), computed tomography, dental X-Ray (OPG), general X-Ray, MRI, 3D & contrast mammography, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound.
