Corfad is looking for a highly motivated and reliable Civil/Rail Project Engineer who has previous Construction / Rail industry experience.
Our company have offices in Newcastle, Sydney, and Melbourne. Successful candidate will help out if needed for shutdown work at our Sydney or Melbourne office.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in tendering for new work e.g. performing take-off’s, cost modelling and estimating;
- Weekend Shutdowns working
- Manage Jobs Newcastle and Sydney
- Setup Rail projects through the preparation of quality documentation, raising RFI’s, liaising with clients to resolve issues;
- Prepare resources for projects/Shutdown;
- Site Supervision during shutdowns
- Identify and assist with implementing process improvement strategies; and
- Support the Project Manager, Superintendent and HSEQ Manager to ensure works and processes comply with contracts and Company policy.
- Processing of time sheets
To be successful in this key role, you must have;
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ engineering experience
- Project wide level of planning, development and review of complex projects
- Delivery of minor projects to program and budget specifications
- Effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource management
- Advanced skills in relevant computer software packages; Microsoft Suite;
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Flexible Team Player
- Training will be provided if needed to successful person
- Rail Card
Work is based out of our Heatherbrae office and is a full time position 38hrs/week.
