Excellent opportunity for a
Range Supervisor to manage operations at the Range Defence Training facility, corresponding areas and exclusion zones during live range activities and operations, including providing technical advice related to Training Area and Range Management to Defence.You will supervise, coach and develop Range staff to perform to the highest operational standards and ensure their compliance with HSE and Quality standards and standard operating procedures. In addition, this role has responsibility for achieving safe and cost-effective results through planning and resource allocation.We recognise that people are our greatest asset, and we are committed to being one of the best employers to work for. - Experience in the operation and management of Military Ranges, including knowledge of weapons, ammunition and Range Conducting Officers (RCO) responsibilities
- Design and construction experience of Live Fire Danger Templates and Range Danger Areas
- Cert III in Conservation and Land Management - highly desirable
- Bush Fire Fighting qualifications - highly desirable
- A current manual driver's license to operate range of 4WD vehicles
- Ability to interact effectively with technical staff, subcontractors, senior military officers and Client representatives
