AddressJob Opportunity: Temporary Ranger Position
Location:Regional NSW
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 to 6 months (TBC), with possible extensions
Hours: Full-time preferred, part-time considered (35 hours per week)
COVID Policy: Aligned with Work Health & Safety Obligations
Accommodation & Travel: Self-contained basic accommodation provided as well as reimbursement for direct travel costs to Council for start and end of assignment.
About the Role:
Join the Regulatory Services Team of a Regional NSW Council as a Ranger, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and contributing to Council's enhancement and protection efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveillance, inspections, and investigations
- Monitor compliance with regulations (Parking, Dumped Rubbish, etc.)
- Assist in Environmental and Companion Animal education
- Respond to Customer Service Requests
- Participate in out-of-hours roster
- Prepare legal documentation and appear in court
- MUST HAVE LOCAL GOVERNMENT EXPERIENCE
Requirements:
- Experience in regulatory enforcement preferred
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Willingness to perform out-of-hours duties
