SalaryQueensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships have an opportunity to join the Northern Region team as a permanent full time OO6 Ranger (Safety). This role provides advice, support and systems to ensure compliance with legislation, regulation and codes of practice within the Workplace Health and Safety environment. This role will also track, monitor and review all operational and professional training within the region to ensure that mandatory qualifications such as first aid, fire and compliance are kept up to date.

Rangers may work across several focus areas dependent on operational need, including Pest Management, Fire Management, Estate Management, Visitor Management, Assets and Safety and Training. As such, Rangers may turn their hands to a wide range of jobs that can be safely undertaken by non-tradespersons.
This role's focus area is Safety and Training Management and will: -
- Provide advice and support to managers and employees with regards to training and Work Health and Safety legislation, regulations, codes of practice and issues.
- Provide practical support in the implementation and usage of hazardous chemicals, risk registers and workplace health and safety compliance reports.
- Track Monitor and review operational and professional training
- Ensure that mandatory qualifications such as first aid, chainsaw, fire and compliance, are up to date.
