You will be accountable for the efficient and effective delivery of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Records Management and Freedom of Information (FOI) services to the organisation consistent with the Shire's Strategic Community Plan and Corporate Business Plan.Working collaboratively across our organisation, you will provide advice to both staff and Council on all areas of the Shire's Information Services. You'll also identify ongoing system improvements to ensure Council's systems represent best practice and respond to the organisation's current and future needs, within legislative guidelines.The role of the Manager Information Services involves:
- Ensuring optimal performance of the Shire's ICT infrastructure;
- Delivering quality, cost effective ICT and GIS services in line with organisational requirements and public expectations;
- Information Security and Cyber Security risk management and mitigation; and
- Managing the timely and reliable operation of Records Management and FOI services for the Shire of Broome, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory legislation and policy
- Base salary between $120K - $130K (based on skills and experience)
- Housing and location allowances between $19K - $28K
- Motor vehicle allowance of $10K
- Relocation assistance up to $10K for candidates outside of Broome
- Shire housing may be available for the right candidate (able to be salary sacrificed)
