The Role:
We are looking for someone who is wanting to join a company that is at the forefront of it's industry, who's growth will provide you the opportunity to further your career in a rewarding environment.
You will be working within an existing established team and as such will have the support of the team and will provide support and organisation as required.
The main purpose of this role is to carry out electrical works as required by our Projects Department, relevant to all Aquatec pump stations and control systems. The core responsibilities include electrical fit-off of Aquatec projects onsite and in factory, conducting FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) on switchboards, installation of electrical components on site, conducting SAT (Site Acceptance Tests), Problem solving and troubleshooting electrical issues and leading the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities across our various sites.
The below will be a part of the day to day in this position:
- Carry out electrical onsite works
- Troubleshooting issues as they arise
- Respond to faults and service issues as required by the Service Manager
- Supervise and mentor any apprentices or casual staff as required
- Occasionally assist the Mechanical Tech staff on site
About You
- You will hold you’re A Grade Electrician Licence
- Can read and understand design plans with ease to formulate a Bill of Matters for purchasing.
- Able to comfortably read and understand P&ID and schematic drawings
- Sound knowledge of instrumentation relating to Flow / Level / Pressure, Variable Speed (Freq) Drives and Soft Starters;
- Experience with fault finding and rectification of the electrical equipment around pump station systems;
- A positive attitude with self motivated drive;
- Well-developed communication skills for liaising with customers and co-workers;
- An ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Have a high level of attention to detail and work autonomously
- You will at all times have a strong safety focus
Preferred Qualifications/Training:
The following qualifications would be preferred however it not obtained, training will be provided
- Confined space entry;
- Working at Heights;
- Medium rigid truck licence;
- Forklift operation; and
- High risk work licences (e.g EWP operation).
