SalaryNews Corp's National News Network is looking for a news reporter with an interest in the property industry (residential and commercial Real Estate, construction and development, housing affordability etc) to join a high-performing, Sydney-based team. You will source and produce a range of informative and compelling stories, to feature in a range of News Corp newspapers, a weekly magazine and multiple online platforms. These will include hyperlocal and often data-led news stories, marke trend pieces, property profiles, celebrity Real Estate news and auction coverage on Saturdays..
- Inform NSW and national audiences of news and trends in the property market
Build an in-depth knowledge of Real Estate and housing issues
Maintain an active contact network in Real Estate by building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Manage key stakeholders and juggle various editorial projects within your team
Working across both digital and print publishing
Regular Saturday work, shared with other colleagues
Who are you?
- Several years of journalism experience with a keen interest in news and lifestyle journalism
Strong journalism skill set: sourcing stories, interviewing, writing, reporting in a daily news publishing environment
Capability in Methode and on social media platforms is advantageous but not essential
Ability to work autonomously and within a team
