We opened our state-of-the-art Advanced Clinical Trials Unit (ACTC) in February 2024 at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, the first of it’s kind in Australia, and deliver innovative therapies to the cancer patients of WA.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join this high performing team.
Your role in our future
As the face of Linear, you will be responsible for providing a friendly and sensitive welcome to our visitors whilst also providing key administration support to our project teams. This role offers a variety of duties and opportunities to develop your administration skills and will be attractive to an individual that is energised by both customer-facing interactions and the satisfaction of keeping things organised and running smoothly behind the scenes.
A full list of responsibilities can be found in your job description however some of your duties will include;
- Ensure all participants and visitors to ACTC are met in a timely, courteous and professional manner, with all visitors appropriately signed in and out, and screens administered as required
- Accurately monitor and record participant attendance via the calendar and other applicable systems.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence (including phone calls and letters) and action appropriately, with calls and messages directed to the appropriate Linear staff member
- Assist with high volume purchase orders using an internal finance system for external vendor services in consultation with the Project Teams.
- Provide general assistance to Project Team, Clinical Team and Medical Team, as required.
Located Conveniently located at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Nedlands, this role will be offered on a full-time basis for 12-months initially with a high chance of extension.
Your Experience
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in a corporate environment along with strong customer service and communication skills. You will be passionate about creating a positive experience for patients with the ability to apply sensitivity and discretion whilst developing your administration skills.
Along with this, your application must also be able to demonstrate the following;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask with excellent prioritisation skills.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to work across multiple platforms
- A positive attitude towards learning and development
