With ongoing training and support provided, we would like to hear from passionate, dedicated and customer centric Dental Assistantsand Receptionists interested in working on a casual basis. Can offer 20 hours weekly with the option to increase. Hours will be scheduled across business hours of Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

About the opportunity:

Clearly DentalBiloela is a well-established local practice looking for someone to come and join the team. The practice is set just off Gladstone Road and is right across from some of the local quaint cafes and shops in the town. It is a busy commercial and tourist hub, though it still retains that relaxed, country feel. Biloela is a multi-cultural community, servicing big business, government and industry bodies, cooperatives and small business as well as the rural and mining sectors that surround it. 

Practice opening hours are Monday to Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. No weekends or late nights!!

The heart of the role Dental Assistant:

• Develop and maintain positive relationships by providing excellent customer service to our patients
• Prepare patients & facilities for dental treatment
• Deliver quality chairside assistance to our Dentists
• Provide instrument sterilisation and infection control solutions
• Maintain and implement infection control standards and procedures
• Patient care from entry to the surgery and recall management

What you'll bring:

• 3 months+ experience as a Dental Assistant preferred. However willing to train and support the right candidate
• Skilled at tackling challenges both on your own and as part of a team, while paying close attention to the little things
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about customer service/patient care
• Maintaining an orderly environment with a knack for systematic approaches
• Ability to build rapport with patients, in a cheerful, light-hearted manner
• Ability to set an example for others (i.e. punctuality, skills, work ethic)

The Heart of the Role Receptionist: 

• Meeting and greeting patients, providing a great first impression 
• Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice 
• Booking and amending appointments, answering the phone, updating patient records 
• Making patients aware of dental services and offers 
• Handling payments 
• Accessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality 

What you'll bring Receptionist: 

• Ability to keep calm and professional in a fast-paced environment 
• Previous administration or reception experience, with some people management exposure 
• Personable, positive, and enthusiastic with a great customer focus 
• Efficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook 
• Strong communication and organisation skills
