Receptionist (Admin and Support)

Part-time

  • Part-time position 3 days – hybrid role
  • Providing reception and general admin support 
  • Travel between Richmond/Mt Waverley, some capacity to WFH

About the opportunity

An opportunity is now available in our growing spinal specialist practice for a Medical Receptionist based in Richmond.  We are a dedicated specialist practice providing world-class spinal surgery and commonly treating patients from infants to the elderly. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to speak English/Mandarin (Cantonese an advantage)
  • Welcoming patients in a warm and courteous manner 
  • Answer incoming calls and enquiries
  • Patient billing for consulting sessions using Gentu
  • Computer skills on MacBook using Microsoft Office suite
  • Liaising with other specialists, GP practices and allied health professionals
  • Actioning emails from a shared email inbox and scanning
  • Sending out correspondence
  • Manage doctor’s schedule with consulting at two locations
  • Assisting the Practice Manager with daily admin duties

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Well-developed skills verbally (English and Mandarin required, Cantonese an advantage) and written (English and Chinese) essential
  • Professional appearance
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • A positive and proactive attitude
  • Friendly and pleasant personality with great customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and organise, with attention to detail, and manage workload and time well when under pressure. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient computer literacy skills 
  • Ability to work independently and also work collaboratively as an effective team member and ability to respond with flexibility when work priorities change
  • Previous specialist rooms experience (at least 2 years)

If you have resided overseas for more than 12 months in the last 10 years you will need to be able to undertake a National Police Check and international police check.
