This position is responsible for leading the investigation, development and preparation of strategic documents and management plans relating to parks, recreation and building assets and services.

Your new role:
As the Recreation Coordinator you will promote Wagga Wagga as a destination to hold major sporting events and will orchestrate the delivery of large-scale elite sporting events.The role will have strong stakeholder engagement and will contribute to ensuring Wagga is a hub for recreational experiences.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Investigate, develop and prepare strategic documents and management plans relating to parks and recreation assets and services.
- Assist in the development of comprehensive project plans and schedules of works.
- Coordinate the delivery of Council's parks and recreation capital works.
- Represent Council on various operational committees and working groups including those held out-of-hours.
- Participate in community and stakeholder consultation in relation to the delivery of projects, works and service levels.
- Build strong relationships with works teams.
- Prepare reports, correspondence and other documentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and team members to develop and implement strategic, delivery and operational plans including budgetary and other resource requirements.
- Implement delivery and operational plans and monitor and report on performance in a timely manner.
What you will need to succeed:
We are looking for someone with:
- Qualifications in recreation, community development or related discipline.
- Class C Driver's Licence.
- Strong organisational, time management and communication skills.
