A fantastic opportunity at NBN Co, as a Region Safety and Quality Lead reporting to the General Manager, Field Operations.
A bit about your role
The Region Safety and Quality Lead role is responsible for embedding, operationalising, and delivering nbn’s Safety and Quality framework, objectives, and outcomes into nbn’s operational Field regions, and is directly accountable to the Field Region General Manager.
Embedding and implementing nbn’s Quality Management Framework and Safety framework within the Field region.
Supporting Field Services Region staff in implementing and maintaining the Field Service Safety & Wellbeing (HS&E) Framework that, drives a S&W (HS&E) aware culture, Mitigates the risks of injury or harm to all staff through the implementation of effective controls, Covers Safety & Wellbeing policies, procedures, regulatory compliance, codes of practice, safe work method statements and work instructions relevant to the Field Services environment.
Providing input into the evolution of nbn’s Operations Quality Framework and Operations Safety Framework for Field Operations.
Governance of Field Region Quality & Compliance, including Safety and Wellbeing to ensure consistent execution of the frameworks across the Region.
A bit about you
To be successful in this position, you will bring experience in Safety and Wellbeing roles. You are able to demonstrate excellent organisational, interpersonal, and leadership skills as well as a proven track record demonstrating and leading a Safety & Wellbeing mindset in a matrix organisation. A strong understanding of WHS legislation including Safe Worth Method Statements, Risk Management, and Contract Management is also essential to the role.
You will be responsible for input into the opportunity pipeline, across the Field Services business to prioritise the pipeline of work based on the business outcomes, execute tactical regional improvement opportunities, and develop and monitor risk/action/issue/decision registers for the region.
