About this role:
A permanent opportunity exists for an experienced Asset Manager to join Queensland Rails Regional Assets team based in Townsville. This role will see you leading a team in the application of asset management, asset maintenance and supply chain management in a multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed Asset Intensive business.
About you:
- Are you someone who has excellent organisational skills?
- Are you comfortable working with all levels of stakeholders, including negotiating deliverables and outcomes?
- Do you have experience leading teams remotely?
- Are you someone who has an in depth understanding of multidisciplinary Asset Management?
You can anticipate some of your responsibilities, amongst others to include:
- Deliver asset maintenance objectives in line with set KPI’s
- Foster a progressive safety culture
- Influence and engage in negotiations with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure financially sustainable asset risk management
- Manage and coordinate the response to emergency situations
- Lead large operational and multi-disciplinary teams
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Extensive knowledge and skill in managing maintenance and construction processes
- Highly skilled at providing senior leadership and strategic guidance within a multifaceted dynamic operational environment
- High level of financial management skills
- High level of skill in the implementation of change management strategies
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within a large organisation. Interpersonally, you will have a natural relationship-building ability, and strong communication skills to ensure the successful leadership of your team and sustain productive internal and external relationships.
