What does the job look like?
The Government & Defence Business Unit has an opportunity for a Regional Manager based at our Defence site at Bandiana, Vic. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the Regional Manager is responsible for the overall operation and performance of the Warehouse and Distribution contract across Victoria and Tasmania. The Regional Manager ensures that contracted services are planned and coordinated to standards prescribed in the contract and in collaboration with the Commonwealth and Defence representatives. Key areas:

• Previous senior management experience
• Previous staff management experience
• Senior experience working within a major contract environment
• Proven management experience within a warehousing and distribution environment
• Ability to implement strategic directions from Linfox Management
• Experience conducting operational reviews and financial reporting
• Strong problem solving, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills

You are a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, able to manage risks and conduct planning and coordination activities to ensure the safe, effective, efficient and responsive delivery of quality service and logistics support. You can demonstrate:

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ensure a safe worksite and achievement of agreed Safety goals, in line with annual Site Safety Plan, or real time changes in safety performance
• Have the ability to take the lead with innovative approaches to continuous improvement, relating to safety, people engagement and operations
• Have the ability to undertake occasional travel
