What you’ll do
As the Regional Manager you will be responsible for providing the equipment, staff and services to facilitate on course wagering at various race tracks based in South Australia and Tasmania. You will be focusing on a modern and innovative service which is customer focused and fully integrated into Tabcorp operational requirements. Your organisational and forward-thinking skills will see you managing the daily operational activities run smoothly for our Race Meetings across both States.
Key Accountabilities:
- Solely responsible for the efficient conduct of the totalisator operation at meetings. For larger meetings, on track operational and/or supervisory support will be provided
- Ensure that the Cash Delivery, Business Transactions and End of Day balance/reconciliation functions are completed in the most efficient manner
- Provide effective allocation of casual staff at race meetings
- Facilitate management control by relaying operational issues from the racecourse to the Head Office environment
- Ensure that attendance and payroll details of all employed staff are finalised and correct
- Be responsible for the physical security of all aspects of the totalisator operation equipment, cash security etc.
- Liaison with both permanent and casual staff (operators, bankers and supervisors etc) before, during and after each race meeting
- Providing and maintaining equipment and OH&S systems of work that are safe and without risk to health
- Provide OH&S instruction, training and information program
- Flexibility is required (includes night-work) and Saturday or Sunday shift as needed - the schedule for this position is determined by a race calendar
