Overview

As the Regional Operations - Northern Manager you will be vital to the leadership and success of East Coast Car Rentals. 

Your office will be based out of either our Brisbane or Gold Coast locations and the role will see you split your time amongst our Northern Branches.

You will ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly within a customer-focused environment. 

This role requires you to assist upper management in the development of business plans and the National Operations Manager in deploying multiple initiatives from these plans back into branches. Along with ensuring smooth and effective BAU is happening in branches, you will be involved in the setting of, and meeting of targets across all areas of the business through the effective leadership of your allocated branches.

Some duties will include:

Leadership

• Champion and foster excellence in both sales and customer service at branch level, to ensure the company achieves or exceeds stated targets
• Build a culture throughout your allocated branches that is consistent with the organisation’s vision, purpose, values and strategy, focusing on impact and the achievement of measurable outcomes and accountability
• Continue to build and maintain a strong cohesive team through an integrated approach, fostering and strengthening the leadership capabilities of team members
• Assist in setting individual KPI’s and managing these in line with deliverables
• Site visits to ensure operation best practice

Partnership

• Work with People and Culture Department on employee related issues such as performance management, recruitment, engagement and health, safety and wellbeing
• Work with the Finance Department to identify and follow up surplus, deficit and financial performance issues and risks
• Work with the L&D Department to recommend and facilitate training gaps and opportunities for development of Branch Managers/Assistant Branch Managers/Shift Supervisors 
• Support the National Operations Manager, Managing Director and CEO in internal and external communications where required

Operations Management

• Prepare reports as required with input from various areas
• Work with the Branch managers to extract and analyse performance data from various internal systems and produce performance reports
• Track and support Branch managers in the implementation of recommendations arising from audits, quality assurance reports and other reviews
• Maintain a safe working environment in the workplace
• Ensure workplace health and safety actions are completed as required and follow procedures to reduce illness, incident and injury including early reporting

ABOUT YOU
Our ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work outside of core business hours if required. We are also looking for someone who can demonstrate education and experience in the following areas:

• Minimum 5 years experience in the Car Rental industry
• Experience in Leadership and Management 
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills
• Driven and takes initiative
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Full Driver's Licence
• Team Spirit
