The Role

We are excited to recruit the newly created role of Group Sales Manager within our Commercial team. Reporting to the Commercial Director, Australia we are seeking to recruit an inspiring sales leader into our Sydney (Erskine Park) office. You will be responsible for leading and driving a high-performance culture as well as achieving positive sales growth across your region as we continue to evolve our salesforce into a more consultative, solutions selling sales organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business with an impressive portfolio of products across animal health and to contribute as a key influencer to a sales transformation.

Your main responsibilities will include –

  • Coaching and mentoring the sales team to support increased market share by delivering an integrated value proposition to our veterinary clinic customers.
  • Continued professional development of the team into a solution sales model, ensuring appropriate training and development plans are in place to engage and motivate.
  • Engagement with our key accounts to understand their key drivers and to promote our ‘One Customer, One Team’ goal.
  • Executing customer segmentation strategy to identify and monitor business growth opportunities.
  • Driving the use of dashboards, key metrics, and KPI’s to ensure success is transparent and measurable.
  • Development and review of business plans to ensure alignment with APAC strategic plans.
  • Ensuring cross functional collaboration and promotion of Covetrus Proprietary Brands portfolio.

About You

To be successful you will have;

  • A proven track record (minimum five years) in sales leadership with demonstrated success in driving market share and delivering financial results.
  • Leadership skills and experience in managing a large sales team with a focus on training and tailoring professional development plans.
  • Key successes in implementing a consultative solutions selling model within a complex business.
  • Commercial acumen to work with customers to understand their business and deliver a unique value proposition.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to work with a broad cross section of stakeholders from cross functional internal teams, external customers, as well as your core sales team.
  • Previous sales experience in the veterinarian or agriculture industry (preferred).
