This position will be based in Townsville and will service from south to Mackay to north of Townsville , reporting directly to the State Sales Manager - QLD / NT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly understand company software as far as necessary to perform daily tasks efficiently, specifically:
- Tilling Warehouse Portal
- TIMMS
- Assist with the planning or production/operations establishing priorities and sequences for efficient operation.
- Plan and coordinate delivery runs and truck allocations, optimizing weights allowances and vehicle features (cranes, racks, etc.) to ensure suitability to required routes and customer needs.
- Assist with stock control tasks and subsequent investigative processes if necessary.
- Accurate recording of inwards / outwards goods and stock movement.
- Perform accurate stock counts independently and communicate results effectively.
- Safe use of forklift is required.
- Directing incoming vehicles to loading bays
- Overseeing and carrying out picking of orders for delivery, ascertaining vehicle requirements, and ensuring sufficient vehicles (size and weight capabilities) are available.
- Overseeing and managing delivery dockets, including collating all dockets upon completion into different areas of distribution, ensuring they are filed regularly, and archives are managed as required.
- Before leaving the premises, check loaded trucks to ensure the load is secure for transit with sufficient restraints.
- Safe supervision of and carrying out truck loading and allocation of duties to forklift drivers.
- Ensure obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law are upheld and compliant.
- Liaising with both drivers and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Investigation of issues or incidents regarding deliveries and loads.
- Communicate work procedures and company policies to individuals/teams at regular meetings.
- Assist employee/teams in problem solving and enable completion of work to the required standard.
- Including provision of company safety information and enforcement of safe loading and unloading processes.
- At all times ensure conduct and behavior is in line with all company policies, including OH&S and contribute to the ongoing safety of the workplace.
- Complete minor property maintenance tasks as necessary
- Other tasks and projects as requested by the Operations Manager - North
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ Years in a similar role
- Proven experience supervising staff and achieving results in line with management expectations.
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal with the ability to communicate with individuals from all levels within the organization.
- Experience working with an ERP system.
- Ability to multitask and time manage effectively.
- Excellent planning and problem-solving skills
- Positive “Can Do” attitude towards customers, staff, and the Tilling Brand
- Ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive under tight deadlines and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Sound understanding of WH&S / OH&S standards and regulations
- Willingness to learn, improve and adapt
- Effective planning and time management skills to achieve the necessary role objectives.
A National Police Check Certificate is required for this role.
