The Opportunity
As a Civil Construction Operator or Labourer you play a key role in executing a diverse range of construction, maintenance and repair activities throughout the Hinchinbrook Shire Council area. If you are an experienced Plant Operator or Labourer, this represents a unique opportunity to either kick start or advance your career in Local Government.
To be successful, you will demonstrate personal attributes that are consistent with Councils values of Integrity, People Focused, Excellence and Sustainability and you will possess the following:
Skills and Qualifications (Dependant on Role):
- Experience in a similar role, such as Road Maintenance or Civil Construction (Infrastructure) Labourer;
- C Class Licence or greater (mandatory);
- Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card (mandatory);
- Working in proximity to traffic, industry authority traffic control and/or traffic management implementation accreditation (highly desirable);
- Plant tickets applicable to Operator role;
- Unrestricted MR Licence (Highly desirable for Labourer);
- Demonstrated physical fitness, capability and willingness to undertake manual labouring work; and
- Flexibility to work outside of regular hours as needed.
