Exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to fill the Regional Support Manager role working across the North CoastWide Bay Region.

SCCQ has an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader, in the role of Regional Support Manager, to provide operational leadership and support to our residential aged care homes across the North CoastWide Bay region.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Residential Aged Care, working in this key role of Regional Support Manager for your region your focus will remain on supporting our homes in Murgon, Nanango and Caloundra through:
  • Coaching, guidance, mentoring and supporting Residential Managers and staff within the homes, encouraging a high-performance culture, committed to our philosophy of ‘Known and Loved’
  • Providing relief and/or supporting the Residential Manages, and providing advice on the full range of operational support areas to ensure care and service excellence and customer focused outcomes for all stakeholders
  • Leading the team of Residential Managers in the region and managing resources efficiently to ensure the highest quality of life for residents across the residential aged care homes in the region
  • Accountability for the stakeholder experience as measured by a positive net promoter score (NPS), compliance with Aged Care Standards and business performance that is sustainable and in line
    with agreed targets clinical outcomes
  • Ensuring staff within the homes have the knowledge and skills to provide care and services that comply with the applicable standards as well as supporting all homes in the region to achieve accreditation and being a key support partner during accreditation reviews and audits
  • Assisting the homes with all required matters including human resource and operational management of the residential aged care homes as well as providing business and administrative support to them
  • Fostering and promoting autonomy of operations at each individual home recognizing the importance of the individual homes while at the same time assisting each home to be viable through sharing of resources and providing support, guidance and oversight of business
    operations.
What will you bring to the role?
  • Bachelor degree in nursing, business management or human services field or significant experience deemed equivalent
  • Clinical background with current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Aged Care industry
  • Previous experience leading, monitoring and driving operational performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
  • Operational management skills including effective financial management, people management and resource utilization
  • Proven effectiveness in leading a geographically dispersed team and the ability to travel and visit different homes
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of a residential aged care home
  • Strong knowledge of operating requirements within the Health/Aged Care Industry
  • Knowledge of legislative and operating requirements within the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and experience in accreditation reviews and audits
  • Strong experience in all areas of financial management, budgeting, variance reporting and monitoring
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to promote SCCQ to the community as a provider and employer of choice
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
  • Highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with all stakeholders
  • Ability to travel intrastate with overnight stays (including weekends) at short notice
