- Salary: $72,651 - $99,129 p.a. (Pro-rata) - RN/RM1
- Temporary Part Time position working 20 hours per week up to 30/6/2024, over a 7 day roster
Joining the team at Gawler Health Service, you will assist with the provision of professional high quality nursing and midwifery care aimed at improving patient health outcomes. Assessing individual patient needs, you will plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups. As a Midwife, you will work in partnership with women, respecting and supporting their right to self- determination in the life processes of pregnancy, birthing and parenthood. Gawler Health Service provides a comprehensive range of midwifery, obstetric, medical and surgical services to patients from Gawler and surrounding communities including the Lower North and Barossa Valley. Gawler Health Service has four obstetric and gynaecology specialists, several GP's, Nurses and midwives ensuring 24-hour a day high-quality care in the mixed ward areas. The Gawler Health Service is a Team STEPPS site, with 500 births per year and opportunities to work across the whole continuum of service as well as medical and surgical patients to care for on the ward. You will need to be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and/or Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in nursing and midwifery practice, you will bring the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills will be essential.
