A fabulous opportunity is now available for a Registered Midwife to join the team in Caseload Midwifery as an Aboriginal CaseloadRegistered Midwife. This position is available is either in a Permanent Full time or Part time role.This imperative role will see you ensure optimal outcomes for Aboriginal women and their families within our community through promotion of best practice including the appropriate escalation of care and to work collaboratively utilising effective team communication with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning, implementation, assessment and evaluation of patient care.Within this role you will act as an advocate for the specific needs of all women and their families including those from the indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the woman undergoing specialised procedures and to maintain and promote a professional standard evidenced by ethical midwifery practice, adherence to the policies and procedures of the Nursing and Midwifery Service, NBMLHD and the appropriate legislation and statutory regulations.Apply now to join the NBMLHD team!An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.About us:Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. • Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in midwifery. Current skills in Antenatal, Birthing and Postnatal care, with previous large facility midwifery experience
• Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide woman centered care
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development
• Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week and on call availability
• Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
• Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of working with Aboriginal families and their communities
