AddressAn opportunity exists for a Practice Nurse (RN) to join our team. We are a well established general practice with loyal patients who need our ongoing care. The person we are seeking will ideally have at least some clinical experience in a General Practice environment and is available to work 2 days per week and cover for sick and annual leave.

The suitable candidate will need to be professional, friendly, caring and self motivated. Be able to work autonomously as a team player.
Training can be provided.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Working with the GPs, Practice Manager and nursing team, be integral in the practice's approach to providing healthcare to our patients.
- Provide nursing support services to patients and GPs.
- Work with the practice team as needed to ensure the smooth functioning of the medical centre.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of general practice.
- Experience with childhood and general immunisations
- Competence in the use of relevant equipment (eg ECG, Spirometry, audiometer etc) and practice management software - Best Practice.
Desirable
- Additional qualifications in areas such as Asthma/spirometry, drug and alcohol screening, Chronic Disease Management, lifestyle coaching etc will be highly regarded.
- Experience in Medicare item utilization to support the provision of high quality healthcare.
