About the Role
- Our Day Surgery Unit is looking for new a scrub/scout. Registered Nurse to join the team.
- We are looking for someone to fit in with our ethos of excellent care for every patient.
- Recent previous experience within either a surgical or acute medical ward is essential, and perioperative and/or day surgery experience is desirable.
- Experience as a scrub/scout nurse.
- You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, coordination and evaluation of patients.
As a Registered Nurse you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered within the unit.

You will also demonstrate:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Recent experience in a surgical / acute medical ward
- Recent scrub/scout experience
- Perioperative or day surgery experience preferred
- Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
This position requires someone with flexibility and the ability work in a fast-paced environment.
Remuneration
$40.47 - $52.19 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife gr2-gr8) [FTE $79,968.72 – $103,127.44]

John Flynn Private Hospital is a 354 bed, acute care hospital located at Tugun, on the southern end of the Gold Coast. The hospital provides services to the population of the Gold Coast and the Tweed Coast extending into the NSW Northern Rivers area.
The theatre has several specialties including, pain lists, ophthalmology, urology, plastics and general surgery.
