AddressWindang Family Medical Centre is located within close proximity to Wollongong CBD (20 minutes to be precised). We are a friendly bulk billing practice that strives to provide quality and reliable healthcare to the local community. The practice is Located in the heart of Windang which makes us easily accessible to residents of Windang and surrounding areas
We are looking for a Registered Nurse / Practice Nurse to join our medical practice to be a key team member working collaboratively and supported by a professional friendly team, to provide high quality and comprehensive care for all patients.
Criteria
It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:
- Triaging patients and prioritization of emergency situations
- Assisting doctors with minor procedures
- Performing health assessments
- Administering vaccines
- Post vaccination observations and monitoring
- Coordination, management, and maintenance of patient clinical data
- Wound dressings and removal of sutures
- Health education and coaching to support patients with achievement of their goals
- A willingness to expand skills and enhance expertise in a professional environment.
Successful Candidate
- AHPRA registered Enrolled or Registered Nurse
- Proven prior experience in General Practice or an acute setting
- Commitment, initiative, enthusiasm and high standards of work ethic to work as part of a team, but also work autonomously when required.
- Knowledge of Health Assessment is highly regarded
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- A passion for people and a personable approach, with a strong patient focus.
Desirable
- Experience in General Practice.
- Experience using Best Practice.
- Cold Chain/Vaccine and Stock Management.
- Care Plan experience.
