The Role
A Registered Nurse in Aged Care is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare and emotional support to elderly residents in long-term care. This role involves assessing residents' health, managing medications, creating individualized care plans, coordinating with healthcare professionals and families, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring safety and infection control. The nurse's empathy and communication skills are essential in promoting residents' well-being and quality of life, while adhering to ethical and regulatory standards.
What you need
- Minimum one-year paid experience as a Registered Nurse
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Covid Vaccinations (Dose 1&2 mandatory)
- National Police Clearance
- Influenza Vaccination mandatory
- First Aid/CPR mandatory
- Ability to work independently and have the ability to collaborate with a team.
- Clear communication skills
