Registered Nurse - Aged Care

The client is a remote aged care provider looking for a Registered Nurse to join the team.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional care to elderly residents within our aged care facility. As a Registered Nurse specializing in aged care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by delivering comprehensive nursing care and support tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care: Provide high-quality nursing care to elderly residents, including but not limited to medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs. Assess resident health status and implement appropriate nursing interventions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents in accordance with their health needs, preferences, and goals. Regularly review and update care plans to ensure they reflect changes in resident condition and preferences.
Health Promotion: Promote health and wellness among residents by providing education on preventive care, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications. Encourage residents to participate in activities that enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing assessments, care plans, and interventions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.
Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and safety of care provided to residents. Identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices to optimize outcomes.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies and crisis situations within the aged care facility. Perform emergency procedures as necessary and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with AHPRA
- Open to both graduates and experiences nurses.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.
- Familiarity with aged care regulations and best practices.
- Vaccinations in line with awards required.
