Perioperative Services – Theatre Suites
Multiple Permanent Full-time (up to 76 hours) and Part-time positions available
As we continue to expand our surgical activity we now have a number of positions available within our busy Perioperative Services Department.
At West Gippsland Healthcare Group we cater for a broad range of surgical specialties including ENT, Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmology and Paediatric Surgery so this is an amazing opportunity for experienced Perioperative Nurses to join our team.
You will be required to work a rotating roster, including morning and afternoon shifts. Shifts range from 0730 to 2100 Monday – Friday. You will also be rostered on call one night per week (2100- 0730) and one weekend per month (Friday 2100 – Monday 0730). To cover call you will need to live within 20 minutes of the health service or stay nearby at your own cost. Please note: Applicants unable to fulfill the on call requirements need not apply.
We are looking for applicants with the following skills/experience/knowledge;
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Perioperative Post Graduate qualification (Desirable)
- Both Scrub/Scout & Anaesthetics/PACU experience (Highly Desirable)
- Ability to fulfil the on call requirements (Mandatory)
- Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility and a commitment to a team approach to care delivery
IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully vaccinated (3 doses) for COVID-19 (unless a valid exemption applies) and Influenza vaccination. Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
