St Marys Community Health Centre and Tasmania’s North-East:
To be Tasmanian is to value the unique and the extraordinary, to seek quality over quantity and to strive for an innovative future while acknowledging the richness of our past. In our work we strive to provide care to our community that reflects our core values of COMPASSION, ACCOUNTABILITY, RESPECT and EXCELLENCE.
St Marys is nestled in the Fingal Valley in Tasmania’s North-East – a stone’s throw from the vast and unspoilt beaches of the beautiful East Coast. Here you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to breath-taking coastlines, National Parks, award-winning fresh produce and world class mountain bike trails – all right on your doorstep. After a day at work, you won’t have to sit in traffic for an hour, you can dip your toes in the pristine turquoise waters along the coast, take a stroll to a waterfall, marvel at the world’s tallest manna (white gum) trees or even climb a mountain.
The St Marys Community Health Centre is a true community hub. Our hospital provides emergency and inpatient care to community members and visitors alike. We also provide extended services to the community including community nursing, an adult day centre, a physiotherapy gym, on-site social work, a child health and parenting clinic and a range of other visiting allied health services. The Tasmanian Lymphedema Clinic that provides laser and massage to lymphedema clients from all over Tasmania also operates from our Community Health Centre. Medical services are provided in conjunction with our co-located GP practice operated by our friends at Ochre Health.
Here, you are encouraged to be your authentic self, to pursue your passions, and to bring your clinical and world knowledge to enable you to contribute to making our team one that provides kind, compassionate and meaningful care.
We are small enough in Tasmania for you to make a real difference every day. Yet collectively we are big enough for you to feel part of something important, somewhere you can belong and be surrounded by diversity, innovation, and friendships. We’ll look after you from the very beginning, ensure you are fully inducted and welcomed into our team and culture.
