We are looking for suitably skilled and qualified Registered Nurses for permanent positions, at our Low Head facility. We want people who want to make a difference in the lives of others.
The Opportunity
As a Registered Nurse, your role is to provide efficient and effective delivery of clinical care to residents. The position plays an integral part in the delivery of person-centered care. You will be supported by the care team, to deliver clinical care in line with operational and legislative requirements.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registered Nurse Division 1 - AHPRA
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience - 3 Years in clinical assessment and care planning as a Registered Nurse or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Knowledge of AN-ACC processes, assessments, and reviews
Compliance requirements:
- National Police Check (within the last six months)
- Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration - including NDIS endorsement
- Sufficient vaccination evidence or medical practitioner approved exemption, as per our current vaccination policy requirements, such as annual influenza and Covid-19 vaccinations.
Tasks, duties, and responsibilities
- Providing nursing care according to the documented care or treatment plan, remaining flexible to accommodate changing care recipient needs.
- Liaising with relevant members of the health care team to ensure timely coordination of referral to medical and allied health professionals to deliver a holistic approach to the treatment of complex clinical care.
- Maintaining accurate and efficient documentation in a manner consistent with Southern Cross Care (Tasmania) Inc. policies, the Aged Care Quality Standards and Accreditation Agency and the Department of Health and Ageing requirements.
- Communicate effectively with care recipients to facilitate provision of best quality care.
- Assist, support and educate care recipients to make informed health care decisions and to promote independent control over their health.
- The provision of direction and guidance to Enrolled Nurses, Care Workers, Leisure and Lifestyle Officers and other staff ensuring tasks delegated correspond with their level of competence and that the highest standard of care is delivered.
