Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Emergency Department is a newly commissioned combined Adult / Paediatric Emergency Department with an amazing team of Clinical NUM’s, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registered and Enrolled Nursing staff.
What you'll be doing
As an ASET Registered Nurse you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide a consult service to elderly patients 70 years and older who present to the Ku ring gai Hospital Emergency Department to provide optimal care and management. The ASET team assess and identify complex issues, advocate for patients and their carers’, refer and facilitate access to other relevant services if medically cleared from the Emergency Department.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Current acute hospital experience with clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
