Job description
The Outpatient Services at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH), Nambour General Hospital (NGH) and the Caloundra Health Services (CHS) aims to provide governance, accountability and management of outpatient services to ensure consistency across the patient care continuum.
The Outpatient Services team provides governance and management of the functional space and provides nursing and administrative support to the specialties that provide outpatient care in this area. Speciality clinical services will access the ACC to provide outpatient services for their patients. These services work closely together with the ACC team to ensure the provision of collaborative integrated outpatient care.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
* Act as Team Leader / coordinator within allocated Outpatient Clinics at SCUH.
* Liaise with the Clinical Nurse + MDT in relation to patient flow, complex patients and clinical issues that arise daily with in your allocated Outpatient Clinic.
* Provide oversight / delegation and clinical decision making while working alongside other team members within the Outpatient Department
Salary between $84,120 - $103,053 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $40.51 - $51.97 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) (Nurse Grade 5) (full time and part time positions available). Applications will remain current for 12 months.
