Grand Pacific Health is a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation. Grand Pacific Health’s Queanbeyan Alcohol and Other Drugs Hub is a NSW Ministry of Health funded program designed to provide welcoming and safe services and spaces for people experiencing, or at risk of harm from alcohol and other drugs (AOD).
The Queanbeyan AOD Hub is a collaboration between Grand Pacific Health, Directions Health and Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Region Health and Community Services.
About the position
Grand Pacific Health is looking for an experienced Regsistered Nurse to support the establishment of the new Queanbeyan Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD).

The Registered Nurse (AOD) works collaboratively with consumers and their family/carers to provide primary health support, care coordination, referrals and home-based detox supports with the aim of improving outcomes and reducing harm associated with drug and alcohol use.
This position works collaboratively with the other members of the Queanbeyan AOD team and external service providers to maximise care outcomes for consumers.
This position is part-time 37.5 hours per fortnight and is fixed term until 30 June 2027 with possibility of extension.
We are looking for someone with:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years’ experience.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in providing community-based nursing, AOD and/or mental health
- Demonstrated understanding or knowledge of the principles of harm minimization and recovery focused support gained through experience, education and/or training
- Demonstrated ability to engage with AOD consumers and their families, friends, or carers to undertake assessment to determine care needs and provide care coordination and referral support
