Training Ahead Australia/ Aakira Medical Services
- Part Time Monday to Friday 0600-1200pm (This position has a medical administration component).
- Another vacancy is available for casual staff.
We are currently seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with previous medical administration experience to join us at Training Ahead Australia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in role in conducting rail and pre-employment medicals.
About us
Training Ahead Australia (TAA) is the leading provider for rail training in Victoria. Aakira Medical Services works alongside TAA to provide fast and accurate medical screening to clients. We can provide Category 1, 2 & 3 Rail medicals, as well as pre-employment medicals. Our workdays are Monday to Friday, with majority of medicals completed in the early morning.

Responsibilities
- Basic mobility screening
- Vision screening
- Drug and alcohol testing
- Audiometry screening
- Evaluate medical history’s to determine if there areany concerns for fitness for duty
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse- Previous experience in occupational nursing is preferred but not essential
- Successful completion of the rail Authorised Health Professional Training. The right candidate will receive training.
- Successful completion of HLTPAT005 - Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing. Training can be provided to the right candidate.
