Your role
You will be responsible for the delivery robust production management of NSW regional sites and to maintain the highest of industry governance and compliance standards required to run productive and efficient farm operations.
Working closely with key stakeholders on various Pace farms, you will be responsible for monitoring, training, and encouraging 'Best Practice' farm management and continuous improvement initiatives, plus developing and or enhancing uniformed systems for sites in the NSW region, ensuring 24/7 coverage on all farms.
The day to day ...
- Maintain the production of world class products and keeping consistent quality KPIs, inclusive of budget management and regular reporting.
- Implement, educate, train, and inspire Best Practice production principles across our NSW farms.
- Ensure that continuous improvement methodologies are undertaken by all sites.
- Understand and develop existing maintenance systems including design of schedules.
- Ensure area management availability regarding management and operational protocols inclusive of site audits and managing rodent baiting controls.
- Ensure all farms are using the correct feed rations and if not putting corrective action in place, to improve ongoing compliance of all farm requirements relating to feeding processes.
- Understanding the labour budgets and planning according to insights.
- Develop, implement, and maintain food safety, product quality, biosecurity, and animal welfare, in line with Pace Farm policies, procedures and systems of work.
- Adhere to and train team regarding company policies and procedures including HACCP, WH&S and Biosecurity.
- Conduct training workshops with the team focusing on production type facilitated by Production management.
- Work with the maintenance and production teams to develop workshops focused on improvement. &
- Manage the Egg quality system for the sites ensuring adherence to Code of Practice and legislation.
About you ...
- Agribusiness related qualifications, plus advanced food production leadership SME gained in the Poultry / Livestock industry.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and able to deal manage and deal with people at all levels of business.
- Solid PC literacy e.g. MS Office and general database management.
- Deep people leadership management experience where you have a track record in bringing out the best in people.
- A highly engaging team player with strong commercial acumen, a sharp eye for detail, solid problem solving, analysis, and reporting ability.
- Passion and commitment for safety and environment and adhering to sustainably friendly farming standards.
As this role will require regular travel within NSW, a company vehicle and tools of trade are included in the salary package. Given the nature of ‘hands-on’ farm management, as and when required - you will need to be comfortable operating outside of core business hours.
