An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic and supportive team in the Cardiac Cath Lab at a private hospital near Newcastle. This can be either a permanent full-time or part-time position.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members;
- Providing education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Scrub/scout/recovery experience and/or anaesthetic recovery experience;
- At least a 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab environment;
- Interventional Cardiology procedural skills such as PCI and Structural Heart procedures;
- Proven Cardiac Rhythm Management procedural and recovery skills;
- Invasive monitoring, including recognition of arterial and right heart pressures/waveforms and Balloon Pump management;
- Experience with sheath management pre/peri/post removal;
- Experience in Cardiac nursing and/or Critical care, Advanced Life Support.

$34.43 - $48.33 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, excluding penalties or allowances.
