Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab | Newcastle

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic and supportive team in the Cardiac Cath Lab at a private hospital near Newcastle. This can be either a permanent full-time or part-time position.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members;
• Providing education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will possess:

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Scrub/scout/recovery experience and/or anaesthetic recovery experience;
• At least a 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab environment;
• Interventional Cardiology procedural skills such as PCI and Structural Heart procedures;
• Proven Cardiac Rhythm Management procedural and recovery skills;
• Invasive monitoring, including recognition of arterial and right heart pressures/waveforms and Balloon Pump management;
• Experience with sheath management pre/peri/post removal;
• Experience in Cardiac nursing and/or Critical care, Advanced Life Support.

REMUNERATION
$34.43 - $48.33 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, excluding penalties or allowances.
