Casual Experienced RN for Custodial Services
The Opportunity
St John WA is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team working 12hr shifts on a casual basis. This position offers a safe and secure working environment, monitoring the health and well-being of persons in custody. Previous experience in custodial or Corrective Services is highly preferred.
About you
The applicant must be extremely competent and empathetic. Should possess excellent communication skills including verbal and written and able to establish trusting bonds with all involved parties. The applicant is required to monitor the patients' health during their stay, provide First Aid as required and assist patients in understanding their conditions, treatments, and prevention measures.
- AHPRA registered RN with no restrictions.
- 5+ Years' recent nursing experience.
- Current NPC (Issued within last 3 months) or willing to obtain.
- Current First Aid or Advanced Life Support (ALS) Certificate.
- Current WA Working with Children (WWC).
- Current CPR certificate.
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Ability to pass thorough background and integrity checks.
Desirable Requirements
- ED or Custodial nursing experience highly desirable.
- Mental Health experience advantageous.
- Sound reasoning and clinical skills.
- MIMMS Training.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course
