About the role:
The Child and Family Health Nurse (CFHN) is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team providing preventative, early detection and early referral for intervention/ treatment care and services to children (0-5 years) and their parents/carers including the offer of a home visit following the birth of every child within the Western New South Wales Local Health District (WNSWLHD).

Bathurst Hospital is located 3 hours west of Sydney over the Blue Mountains. It is a University City, has good transport services throughout the city, buses, trains and airplanes with regular connections to Sydney then interstate. Large sporting complexes, great restaurants, recreational activities and facilities. The hospital has Operating Theatres, a Surgical Ward of 15 bed (with capacity to surge to 22 beds), ED, Level 4 ICU, Level 4 maternity services, paediatrics services, medical unit with telemetry and palliative care beds, Rehabilitation unit onsite, and TACP beds, large inpatient and outpatient Allied Health support and expanding Ambulatory Care and HITH services. Educational support is available to staff.
