Registered Nurse - Clinical Monitoring and Supports

Palm Lakes Care's idyllic Bargara community is currently seeking a Permanent Part Time Registered Nurse to join our clinical team in this specialised role.
This is a new position where you will be required to oversee, monitor and provide direct care and clinical services to our residents.
Shifts are Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 5.30pm.

The role.
We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our team as the Care Supports. The candidates must be competent to provide guidance and leadership within the Clinical team and to deliver consumer directed care.
Under the guidance of the Service Manager and Clinical Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Greeting and welcoming new resident admissions,
- Case Conferencing with Residents and Residents families
- Responding to identified needs, incidents and changes in conditions,
- Ensuring that all activities are being performed and completed to Palm Lake standards and expectations,
- Review and updating of Assessments,
- Completion of Global Charting requirements
- Educating and Mentoring new Clinical Employees
- Provide assistance and guidance when and where required.
- Monitoring Meal provision and supporting residents requiring increased supports.
- Monitoring call bells and ensuring timely response times,
- Assisting Doctors with rounds
- Completing Weekly and Monthly scheduled duties
- Scheduled maintenance requirements of equipment used and stores.
- Providing comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments,
- Engage in nursing practices that enhance the dignity and integrity of the resident’s independence and the management of medications.
- Attending Handovers, providing pertinent information and ensuring floor coverage
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor of Nursing qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Experience working in an Australian Aged Care Facility
- Strong understanding of person-centered care principles
- Demonstrated competence in medication management, clinical skills and documentation,
- You will be team orientated to achieve the best possible outcomes for our residents,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
- Empathy with elderly residents and their families
- Knowledge of AN-ACC and Accreditation standards is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Autumn Care would be highly regarded.
