About the role:As the new Urology and Colorectal Nurse you will be
Conducting assessments of patients' health, focusing on colorectal and urological conditions. Monitoring vital signs, assessing symptoms, and tracking the progress of treatments. Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and post-operative care. Wound dressing, monitoring for signs of infection, and ensuring proper healing. Administering medications, managing pain relief, and educating patients about their medication regimes are key responsibilities. Providing emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns, and offering comfort. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, surgeons, physiotherapists, and dieticians, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Perform technical procedures such as catheterisations, and assist with diagnostic tests and procedures related to colorectal and urological health.
