About the roleAn exciting opportunity has become available for a permanent part-time Registered Nurse to work within the team of the LHD Drug Court/MERIT team.
In this position the clinician will provide specialist drug and alcohol services within Court Diversion programs (Adult Court and Magistrates Early Referral into Treatment) for clients presenting with substance use issues. Duties include provide evidence-based drug and alcohol assessment, case management and counselling services to patients accessing the MERIT and Drug Court programs. The position will be assisting with participants on the Opioid Treatment program. Assisting with OAT Clinics and working closely with their presciber.
Our goal is to improve health, wellbeing and social outcomes for individuals, families and the community related to drug and alcohol use. Plan, coordinate, and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialist knowledge within WNSWLHD Drug & Alcohol Service for Adult Drug Court and MERIT, consistent with NSW Health policies, procedures and standards.
