South West Sydney Local Health District is recruiting for Registered Nurses to complement and enhance the District Staff Health Department.

What you'll be doing
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality person-centred nursing care in accordance with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses, and the Procedures and Guidelines of Ministry of Health (MoH).
This role supports the timely provision of Occupational Staff Health Services across South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) as part of the Staff Health Unit, assisting SWSLHD key stakeholders to meet MoH requirements for immunisation, body substance exposure management and accreditation.
This role provides Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination (OASV) service for all staff, students and volunteers, as per NSW Health Policy 2023_022.
This role involves assisting and guiding staff and ensure adherence to professional standards.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Demonstrated experience in the delivery of Immunisations

  • Please outline your experience in dealing with difficult customers and how you have problem-solved, ensuring compliance with policy, whilst meeting their needs.
  • Please outline how you have applied your knowledge/ understanding of NSW policies, particularly the Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy.
  • Please outline how you have demonstrated high level of accuracy and attention to detail and are efficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and other Health systems.
  • Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment and willingness to travel across SWSLHD as required
